Book tickets to Switzerland in the winter and you’ll be in for breathtaking views and lots of lovely cozy vibes. If a winter break is more your thing, book a return ticket from Zermatt to Gornegrat and treat yourself to stunning views of the world-renowned Matterhorn. You’ll see 29 of the four-thousand-meter peaks on your 33-minute train.

Once you get to Gornegrat, go to the 360 viewing platform, head to the observatory, eat, drink, shop, stay in a hotel if you fancy it, and make your way back down whenever you like. Your return will be valid for 10 days and will cost around 76 CHF. Find out more here.

Visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Japan

@chelsi

The Fushimi Inari Taisha is located five minutes from Kyoto station, it sits at the base of the Inari mountain and includes trails up the mountain to smaller shrines. Walking up the mountain takes around 2 hours, but is a beautiful hike to take. Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine of the god Inari. Inari is the god of rice but merchants and manufacturers worship Inari as the god of business too!

This shrine has around 10,000 red torii gates, making it a huge tourist attraction. Inari shrines have many torii gates because those who are successful in business donate in gratitude. Visit Kyoto and make sure you take a trek to see the shrine, too. Find out more here.

Experience luxury in Santorini

@astarte_suites

Maybe you’re not the hiking type, and can’t see yourself going on a winter break, either. That’s fine, too. You can still tick off your bucket list from the lap of luxury. How about staying at Astarte Suites and enjoying Santorini in luxury? You can get a suite with an infinity pool and indoor jacuzzi, but it’ll cost you. If you’re willing to save up for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, why not make it this one.

Got a strong sense of adventure? Good because swimming with sharks in Papeete is a must-do. Stay with intercontinental in an overwater bungalow, enjoy all the things Tahiti has to offer and book in to swim with sharks in Papeete as soon as you can.

If you’ve always wanted to experience unspoiled views of the ocean, you will not regret this. You can view sharks up close and personal, in a totally safe and unique way. Depending on the experience you book you can get up close with tiger sharks, rays, barracudas, and more. Visit Pig Island in the Bahamas

@islandboyadventures

Pig Beach is inhabited by some very unlikely characters, you have to make it your mission to swim and feed the piggies while you’re there. Nobody knows for sure how the pigs came to be part of the beach, some say they were left by sailors who wanted to return and eat them – others that they swam from a shipwreck nearby. There are 20 pigs and piglets on Pig Beach who live the life of luxury on Big Major Cay.

Visit The Exhumas and book a day trip to see the swimming pigs, you can feed iguanas, stop for lunch, pet a stingray, snorkel and most importantly see and play with the pigs! Now that’s a memorable trip! Find out more here.
